Don’s interest in photography began in 2008 when he discovered his Father’s Pentax MG SLR. Little did he know at the time, how much of a role photography would play in his life for the years to come.
In 2009, he entered into his first exhibition organized by INSIGHT and was awarded top honours. Whilst studying Commerce and Commercial Law, he embarked down the path of wedding and portraiture photography
Don’t be fooled by his former life as a Tax Consultant, with sharp suits and slicked back hair. While he’s quick with a calculator, his humour, spontaneity, and ability to build strong connections with people, will help bring out your best side.
Having a soft spot for the overly romantic Korean soap dramas, he enjoys a great love story. His wedding photography often features sentimental touches from the couple. As subtle as they may be, they add an extra warmth to the image. He is inspired by minimalism, clean lines, and beautiful backdrops that set the scene.
His work has been displayed at the state library of NSW, and on the front cover of publications produced by Myer and Raon. He has had the privilege of photographing individuals such as Ruby Rose, Rebecca Judd, Hamish Blake, Andy Lee, Vinh Giang and Peter White.
Don brings with him not only experience in wedding photography, but also enjoys working with clients such as Myer, Raon, Variety for Kids, Minda, Brock Real Estate, V&J Menswear, Glam Adelaide, and Channel 9.
Don is currently based in Melbourne.
